📚 Backstory

​

I’m a bilingual American voice actor and narrator who grew up speaking German at home in Astoria, Queens—and attending German school every Saturday, because apparently regular school wasn’t enough.

​

That foundation, followed by a BFA in Acting from Boston University and nearly two decades living and working in Hamburg and Berlin, shaped the articulate, international perspective I now bring to global brand films and over 350 audiobooks. I moved back to the USA in 2012, bringing silken European highlights back to my New York roots.

🏋 Professional Experience

​

After graduating from BU, I was hired as a news reader at international news broadcaster DW-TV in Berlin, later serving as the station’s promo and trailer voice.

​

What began in that high-stakes newsroom grew into a 30-year legacy of narration—anchoring everything from permanent museum guides at The Getty and MoMA to global brand manifestos for Mercedes-Benz and OnStar. Whether performing as Christa Lewis or my audiobook alter-ego, Pippa Jayne, my work is defined by finding the human "nuance" in every script.​

 

I've narrated installations for MoMA, the museum guide at the J. Paul Getty Museum,

The Garden — the only permanent exhibition at the Getty and performed animated characters

in TV and cinema-release films, voiced children's apps, e-learning courses, and corporate content

for global brands.

​

As a video game voice actor, I've even blown out my voice in games —

most notably in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, voicing Sophia the snippy, lovelorn German AI.

​

Additionally in 2020, I began to direct audiobook narrators. In 2022 we were awarded an Earphones Award

thanks to the exquisite talent of Ann Richardson, the narrator performing Inlands by Elin Willows.

I speak accent-free German fluently and am comfortable working in an array of accents and

dialects — which comes in handy more often than you'd think.

​

With 350 audiobooks narrated to date as both Christa Lewis and Pippa Jayne, my clients include
