📚 Backstory

​

I'm a bilingual American voice actor and audiobook narrator who grew up speaking German at home

in Astoria, Queens, NY — and attending German school every Saturday, because apparently regular

school wasn't enough. After majoring in Acting at the School of Fine Arts at Boston University, I moved

to Hamburg and then Berlin, Germany, before moving back to the USA in 2012.

🏋 Professional Experience

​

After graduating with a BFA in Acting from BU, I was hired as news and features reader at

international news broadcaster DW-TV in Berlin, Germany & later worked as station

promo and trailer voice.

​

Since 1995, I've worked as a professional voice actor. What began as news reader at DW-TV 

soon became freelancing as a voice talent in Germany — delighting in museum audioguide

narration, animation, documentary, features & reportage, trailers, promos, corporate narrations,

explainers, and commercials for international clients with a global audience.

 

I've narrated installations for MoMA, the museum guide at the J. Paul Getty Museum,

The Garden — the only permanent exhibition at the Getty and performed animated characters

in TV and cinemarelease films, voiced children's apps, e-learning courses, and corporate content

for global brands.

As a video game voice actor, I've even blown out my voice in games —

most notably in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, voicing Sophia the snippy, lovelorn German AI.

​

Aaaaaaannd ... because, who needs sleep? Since 2020, I have even started to direct audiobooks, and direct narrators remotely. In 2022 - WE GOT AN Earphones Award !!! thanks to the brilliant narration of Ann Richardson performing Inlands by Elin Willows.

I speak accent-free German fluently and am comfortable working in an array of accents and

dialects — which comes in handy more often than you'd think.

​

With 350 audiobooks narrated to date as both Christa Lewis and Pippa Jayne, my clients include
