Bringing an international perspective to museum exhibits, installations and guided tours.

From world heritage sites and international exhibits to MoMA installations, visitors are immersed in story that transports, educates and entertains in a way that honors the text and holds their attention with engaging storytelling and loving attention to detail.

J. Paul Getty Museum - The Garden

Institutional Trust

When the J. Paul Getty Museum sought a voice for its first permanent outdoor exhibit, they required a narrative accompaniment that could match the stature of Robert Irwin’s 'The Garden.'

Entrusted by the artist’s trust and one of the world’s leading cultural institutions, Christa Lewis’s voice remains the definitive guide for this landmark architectural legacy.

The Architecture of Social Investment at MoMA

Curatorial Range

For The Architecture of Social Investment — the urbaninform audio installation in MoMA's 2010 exhibition Small Scale, Big Change: New Architectures of Social Engagement — Christa Lewis voiced one of three internet-based networks profiled in the show.

Contemporary work, speculative urbanism, the language of socially engaged design — the voice steps back so the ideas come forward.

German Parliament Building · historic landmark narration for Orpheo

Berlin Bundestag Audioguide

Civic Voice

For the English-language audioguide of the German Parliament's Reichstag — one of Europe's most-visited civic landmarks — Christa Lewis was commissioned through Orpheo to carry the building's architecture and democratic history to international visitors.

The architecture, the history, the gravity of the place — these are what the visitor came to hear. The voice carries them.

Maulbronn Monastery - UNESCO World Heritage Site

Heritage Custodianship

Maulbronn — founded in 1147 and inscribed by UNESCO in 1993 as the most complete medieval Cistercian complex north of the Alps — Christa Lewis voices the English-language narration of the multimedia guide produced through Orpheo.

Nine centuries of stone, water, and silence ask for a narrator who moves through them without disturbing what they hold.

Jüdisches Museum Berlin — 2 Millennia of German Jewish History

Architectural Witness

For the Jewish Museum Berlin's permanent exhibition Two Millennia of German Jewish History, Christa Lewis co-narrated the first English-language audioguide for Daniel Libeskind's iconic Libeskind Annex — the architectural masterwork where the building itself is the exhibit, designed as an experiential journey through two thousand years of German Jewish history, including the devastation of the Holocaust.

The voice carrying visitors through this journey had to frame the experience.

Villa Carlotta Museum & Botanical Garden on Lake Como

Across Disciplines

For Villa Carlotta on Lake Como — the neoclassical villa whose galleries hold masterworks by Canova, Hayez, and Thorvaldsen, set within seventy thousand square meters of botanical garden — Christa Lewis voiced the English-language audioguide produced by Sfelab for Villa Carlotta.

A single visit moves between sculpture, painting, architecture, and botany. The narration has to move with it.

Playground: Matter - Nanotechnology

Scientific Precision

For Playground: Matter and Man-Made Blossom, Christa Lewis voices a short-form exhibit film on nanotechnology — the science of manipulating matter at the molecular scale.

When the subject is exact, the narration is exact. Clarity is its own service.
